Boys and girls: Under 8, 10, 12, 14 ,16 and 18 years:  Two weight divisions per age group.

<8 Boys and Girls
30kg’s and under and OPEN; <10 Boys and Girls 35kg’s and under and OPEN; <12 Boys and
Girls
40kg’s and under and OPEN; <14 BOYS 50 kg’s and under and OPEN; <14 GIRLS 45kg’s and under and OPEN;
<16 BOYS 55kg’s and under and OPEN, <16 GIRLS 50kg’s and under and OPEN; <18 BOYS 65 kg’s and under and
OPEN GIRLS 55kg’s and under and OPEN.

(AGE CRITERIA: <8 means you must be 8 years old or younger on the 24th April 2010 etc!)
(WEIGHT CRITERIA: 30kg’s and under means you must weigh 30kg’s or less, if over 30 kg’s you fight in the open
under 8 division etc.

ADULTS: Male and Female weight divisions:
Male 65kg, 77.5kg and OPEN
Female 55kg ,60kg and OPEN

It is COMPULSORY for ALL children and colts to wear protective “soft” shin pads and gloves. Protective headgear for the
under 8, 10, 12 and 14 athletes is compulsory (Head gear will be provided) Mouth guards are recommended. The wearing
of headgear for the under 16 and 18 athletes is optional.
Girls and females are allowed to wear chest protectors, which must not cover the midriff, but the bust only.

All contests to be conducted under the IKO Full Contact Kyokushin Union karate rules. Entry forms can be downloaded from
our website;

Contestants fee: R70-00 for Children and Colts, R110-00 for adults; Entrance fee spectators R25-00,
children R10-00

Juniors, Children and Colts:1st April 2010 for FOREIGN entries and 15th April 2010 for Southern Africa
Adults Male and Female: 15th April 2010 for FOREIGN entries and 1st May 2010. for Southern Africa
